In our role as a healthcare service provider in the region where Minamata disease emerged, we hold this workshop once a year to enhance rehabilitation capabilities in the region. As professionals who are active on the front lines are invited to give a talk at the workshop, it is also one of the valuable opportunities to hear prominent speakers in Minamata. Their talks are filled with the latest news regarding rehabilitation, which makes the workshop a good occasion for learning useful information that can immediately be put into clinical practice. While the workshop caters mainly to healthcare professionals involved in rehabilitation care, such as doctors, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, everyone is welcome to participate.
