NIMDフォーラム

国立水俣病総合研究センター (National Institute for Minamata Disease : NIMD)では、毎年、国内外の専門家を招聘し、水銀に関するテーマで公開研究発表会 (NIMDフォーラム) を開催しています。
今年度のNIMDフォーラムは、「水銀の毒性や環境保健に関する最近の進歩」をテーマに、「環境化学・環境毒性に関する国際学会」との共催で開催いたしました。
ご講演いただいた先生方、そしてご参加いただいた皆様、どうもありがとうございました。

【フォーラムの様子】
９月２７日（木）１３：００から９月２８日（金）１６：４０まで、水俣病情報センター講堂にて、セッション及びスタディビジットを開催いたしました。
セッションでは、海外の研究者７名（香港、台湾、ブラジル、デンマーク、アメリカ、カナダ）、国内の研究者３名及び国立水俣病総合研究センターの研究者３名の１３名が４つのセッションにわかれて、それぞれの分野での研究成果を発表しました。会場には１５の国・地域から延べ約１２０名の方々に参加いただき、質疑応答の時間には多くの質問が飛び交う活発なフォーラムとなり、盛況の内にセッションを終えることができました。

また、１日目のセッション後のスタディビジットでは、永本賢二さんによる語り部講話「Born with Congenital Minamata Disease」、坂本館長の案内による水俣病資料館の見学、そして親水護岸、水俣病慰霊の碑、百閒排水口の見学を行いました。語り部講話では、参加者が永本さんの話に熱心に耳を傾け、多くの質問や水俣病に対する率直な意見が出されました。
