Once a year, we hold a special open-house event (Open Lab) to invite the public inside our research facilities to which access is normally restricted, with the aim of offering people in the region opportunities to get to know our research facilities and researchers. On the day of Open Lab, our resident researchers welcome visitors with their original programs in their respective research facilities, ranging from activities unique to NIMD, such as hands-on experience of measuring mercury in hair samples or trying rehabilitation exercises, as well as caregiving advice, to fun and informal science activities like games designed to learn chemical reactions and get a glimpse of the microscopic world.
